Under the data protection act, I have a legal duty to protect the information collected from you.  

 

Use of personal information

When you browse the shop, I automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to  provide me with information that helps me learn about your browser and operating system. When you purchase something from the shop, I collect the personal information that you give, such as your name, address and email  address as part of the buying and selling process.  

If you sign up for my newsletter, I may send you emails about the shop, new products and other updates. This information is held with Mailchimp.  

 

Gaining consent

When you provide me with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, I imply that you consent to my collecting and using it for that specific reason only.  

If asking for your personal information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, I will either ask directly for your consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.  

 

Withdrawing consent  

If you change your mind after opting-in, you may, at any time, withdraw your consent for me to contact you and for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information; please get in touch using the contact form or email jules@woollenflower.com.  

 

Disclosure  

I may disclose your personal information if required by law to do so or if you violate the Terms of Service.  

 

Security  

To protect your personal information, I take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide me with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with an AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, I follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.  

 

Changes to this policy  

I reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting here. If material changes are made, I will notify customer here so you are aware of what information I may collect, use or disclose. If my business is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that they may continue to sell products to you.
